Artist Hector Romero

"My interior design career gives me insight as an artist to create fine art that interior designers are seeking and buying for their clients. I truly enjoy making my individual and unique art pieces that allow me to creatively let loose."

Hector honed his talent early in his career as a wallcovering designer/manufacturer where he would hand-make prototypes using a wide range of mediums and tools that he continues to employ in his fine art today. His interior design career and adept forecasting of color trends and design keep his work relevant. His artwork has been placed by interior designers in hotels, restaurants, and high-end residential projects, and now his own design clients are commissioning him to create one of his works for their homes.

Hector’s current collection starts by creating his custom substrate for his work composed of a raised birch panel frame design that appears as if his artwork is floating on the wall. He then begins his work with his own unique mediums in this gallery-quality format. Hector creates with artful texture and blended colors, building up each panel with layers of varied tones in the challenging medium of handmade fresco that he prefers. All art pieces are and always have been created with low VOC mediums.

* Works created by Hector have been commissioned and installed: MGM / Aria - Las Vegas, Samsung Towers-Seoul, Korea, Covet Lounge - New York.
