+ renovation managment project

These clients decided to move from a rural area to the city and asked our help blending their very different tastes. The husband favors very clean lines and restraint with a floorplan focusing on the city views, while she is more of a free spirit and likes a mix of unique antiques and moments of color.

This 18-year-old home needed a complete renovation and our clients asked us to project manage the entire process.
Every surface and visual detail required updating to get the look they wanted. Walls were removed, bathrooms reconfigured, and all mechanical items were updated, including adding a water purification system. We had technicians come in to install a comprehensive media package. New expansive dual glazed energy efficient commercial window systems replaced poor quality original black frames and glass. Remote control, minimal profile dual function shades were installed for a clean modern appearance.

Even though the clients are more a fan of restaurant menus than cookbooks, the kitchen also needed some attention.
We revived extisting cabinetry with paint and hardware and installed white, quartz counters, new white appliances - we like to use white appliances because they are timeless. A coffee and juice bar cabinet was added which aslo functions as small appliances garge, plugged in and hidden behind pocket doors.

The design style is relaxed modern, blending all new furnishings with acquired vintage items and layering in other client collectables.
Custom built in bookcases and display cabinets made new homes for many of the client’s collectables. The beachy hue color pallet for the entire home is playful but restrained.
Original art in living room by Hector Romero and upon her request graffiti style angel wings on new barn style doors by Chris Obeji.
