1939 Bungalow Story
Editing Home for New Energy
new enhanced version to be less confusing visually
The goal was to create a space that was visually comfortable, artful, and less visually confusing.
Addressing the client's desire for a space conducive to entertaining, Hector + Chris embarked on developing a floor plan that could seamlessly expand to accommodate larger groups. To complement the eclectic vibe, they curated a blend of international art pieces and accessories, ensuring a cohesive yet dynamic ambiance throughout the home.
A special touch was the inclusion of original diptych art crafted by Hector Romero, strategically placed in the designated lounge area to serve as a focal point and conversation starter.

Recognizing the importance of lighting in setting the mood and ambiance, Hector + Chris upgraded the lighting fixtures, infusing each space with warmth and functionality. To further enhance the client's living experience, they decluttered the spaces, creating an environment that felt open, inviting, and conducive to relaxation and socializing.
Transitioning from the interior to the exterior, Hector + Chris selected paint colors to bridge the gap between the two spaces, enhancing the overall experience for the client and her guests. Additionally, they extended the home's footprint by adding a modern media/family room, seamlessly integrating it with the existing spaces to elevate the client's lifestyle.
Overall, Hector + Chris succeeded in transforming the client's home into a harmonious blend of eclectic charm and modern functionality, tailored to meet her unique lifestyle needs.
Thanks, M.D. for taking Hector + Chris's lead on issues that you were nervous about.
