Landscape Revival Story
Mission REVIVAL Accomplished
special plan respectfully considering the homes historic architecture.
Having recently undergone a significant transformation with a fresh coat of paint, the exterior landscape awaited its revitalization to truly complement the home's Mission Revival historic charm. The comprehensive plan included Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, and Exterior Furnishings layout and selections, tailored to the clients' preferences for vintage details.
Drawing inspiration from the early California Missions, Hector + Chris crafted a design that honored the homes architectural heritage infusing elements of Spanish, Mexican, and Indigenous cultures. The result is a harmonious blend that not only pays homage to the past but also resonates with the present Mediterranean identity of California.

At the heart of the design are pathways and open spaces covered with compressed decomposed granite, seamlessly guiding visitors through the property. Garden beds feature a vibrant array of drought-tolerant plants, cacti, fruit, and ornamental trees, further enriching the landscape.
The selection of furnishings, both new and vintage, including the client's own collection of statuary and a salvaged concrete Riverside Bell adds character and personality to the outdoor spaces. The culmination of this project not only enhances the individual homeowners' property but also contributed to the overall charm of the historic neighborhood.

The clients and neighbors alike expressed their delight with the transformation, a testament to Romero + Obeji’s commitment to creating timeless and captivating designs.
D + D we love your home and getting to know you both. The results are stunning!
